Whiskey Tango
has developed into one of Mid-Missouri's most sought after bands.
They show a diversity in song selections that can't be found anywhere
else. Delivering the
driving beat as drummer/percussionist and lead vocalist is
Darren
Huddleston.
Darrell
Jaeger dispenses searing lead & rhythm guitars and backing vocals, and recenty joining Whiskey Tango as bassist and
lead vocalist, Dean Adkins provides a nice
groove to one of the best rhythm sections around.
While Whiskey Tango
is comprised of three individuals with completely distinctive
personalities, it is their constant dedication to the music they love
that keeps
them directed towards a common goal… to make music they can be proud
of, and that the fans enjoy.
In
a time when local bands can spend literally years on the music scene
with only a small following,
Whiskey Tango
has
managed to win the hearts of several hundred!
In March 2002, the fans poured into the Battle
of the Bands
to show their support, and
propelled Whiskey Tango
to an overwhelming 1st Place
victory. The band continues
to cultivate a blossoming fan base.
From the casual listeners to the diehard loyal fans,
Whiskey Tango
knows that their audience is the most important aspect of the band. Because of the creative energy that exists in Whiskey Tango, it was only a matter of time before a CD of original songs was recorded. Their debut CD, "Clear The Room!", has sold over 600 copies locally, and two of its tracks have been in the 1st and 2nd chart position on internet radio site at comomusic.com. All of this success has driven them to begin work on their sophomore effort. Whiskey Tango is dedicated to producing albums of great rock n’ roll, start to finish. Judging by fan reaction to their originals at live shows, they accomplish just that.
Now
out in support of the new album, Whiskey Tango
is appeasing their fans with an unrelenting
schedule
of performance dates each month, and looks forward to each one as
though it were the first gig they ever played.
Although they have recently
been seen in larger venues in Mid-Missouri, Whiskey Tango
frequently returns to many of the smaller clubs in which they got their
start. “We just like to play, plain and simple!
We take
ALL gigs seriously, and have
NEVER
left anyone
feeling like they haven’t gotten their money’s worth!”
